Herald Provincial Park is a 79 hectare recreation park located on the Salmon Arm of Shuswap Lake west of the community of Sicamous, BC and north of the community of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. In the park Reinecker Creek empties into Shuswap Lake and, nearby, Bastion Mountain looms in the background feeding the nearby falls.

Herald Park, established in 1975, centres around a popular sandy beach, many various lake activities and three very popular campgrounds. Some of the more popular activities enjoyed in the park and on Shuswap Lake include boating, camping, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, birdwatching, water skiing, wind surfing and scuba diving.

The three campgrounds in the park include the Bastion, Reinecker and Homestead Campgrounds. The campground park provides many amenities ideal for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts like a boat launch, hot showers, a large day-use area, fire pits, picnic tables, pit and flush toilets. It is highly recommended to pre book a campsite ahead of time when planning on staying in Herald Provincial Park.

Hiking in the park takes you to a view point or to a waterfall. There is a short 2.5 kilometre trail that leads to views of the lake and there is a popular interpretive trail leading to Margaret Falls. Some of the vegetation seen along the trails in park include thimbleberry, foamflower, mosses, tiger lily and devil's club.

Shuswap Lake is the main source of entertainment in the park with fishing attracting allot of attention year round because of the over 15 different species of fish in the lake including Trout , Dolly Vardens, Kokanee, Burbot, and Whitefish. With over 70 species of birds located in Herald Park birdwatching is also an activity everybody can enjoy.

How to Get to Herald Provincial Park: The Provincial Park is located 14 km east of the Trans Canada Hwy near Tappen, BC., just north of Salmon Arm. Near Tappen travel on Highway #1 (Trans Canada Hwy) to the Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road turnoff. Travel Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road along the shores of Shuswap Lake to the park.
