region ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts. Some of the lakes and
rivers attracting birdwatchers to the region require hiking a
trail to viewing platforms while others can be viewed from the
comfort of your car or from a, nearby, viewing bench, picnic table
or sandy beach.
Some of the lakes, rivers, estuaries and wetlands
fall within the migratory path of birds while others become the
nesting and feeding grounds of the local bird wildlife. Some of
the birdwatching destinations fall within beautifully maintained
parks while others are located in rugged, remote wilderness locations.
